Read this first. This is an equity position, not a salaried job. There is no cash compensation, no base, and no commission. You would be joining as a founding partner with an ownership stake, taking on the commercial side of the business while the engineering side is already running. If you need income from day one, this is the wrong role — and we would rather say so here than discover it together on a first call.
You own the top of our pipeline. Finding the right companies, getting a real conversation started, and converting them into clients. You will do that on the phone, over email, and on LinkedIn — and the phone is not optional.
This is a US-based role because the market is US-based. You need to be able to call a prospect in Chicago at 10am their time, understand how American businesses buy software, and sound like someone they would take a meeting with.
What we have: engineers who deliver, and delivered work behind us. What we do not have is someone in the United States who owns how that work gets found, positioned, and sold. That is the gap this role exists to fill — and it is why the stake is real rather than nominal.
What you’d own
Cold calling
- Make outbound calls to prospects who have not heard of us, and book meetings from those calls
- Open a call well, handle the first objection without deflating, and know when to stop pushing — a prospect who says no clearly is more useful than one you talked into a meeting they will not attend
- Write and refine your own call openers and objection responses rather than reading someone else’s script
- Use voicemail and follow-up deliberately, as part of a sequence rather than as an afterthought
- Log call outcomes properly, so we learn something from the ones that did not convert
Email and LinkedIn
- Build and run outbound email campaigns with genuine personalization — research that shows, not a merge field with a company name in it
- Prospect through LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo, Lemlist, and similar tools
- Build target lists using real filtering and segmentation rather than buying a list and hoping
- Run multi-channel sequences where calls, email, and LinkedIn reinforce each other instead of arriving at random
Positioning and proof
- Decide who we are for, and make the website and our outreach say it consistently
- Turn delivered projects into case studies and proof that survives a skeptical buyer
- Build US market credibility — timezone overlap, cultural fluency, and the ability to represent the company to American clients
Pipeline and measurement
- Keep a clean CRM pipeline in HubSpot, Pipedrive, or similar — if it is not in the CRM it did not happen
- Track connect rates, reply rates, meetings booked, and meetings that actually happened, and change your approach based on what the numbers say
- Run A/B tests on sequences and subject lines with enough volume to mean something
- Build the commercial function from nothing — process, tooling, and eventually the people
What we need from you
- Proven B2B lead generation or sales experience, ideally selling software services or working inside a software agency
- Genuine comfort on the phone. Not tolerance of it — comfort. A significant part of this role is calling people who did not ask to hear from you
- Based in the United States, with authorization to work here, and able to cover US business hours across time zones
- Real experience with cold email and LinkedIn outreach, and an understanding of why nurture sequences work when they do
- Familiarity with tooling in this space — Hunter.io, Apollo, Snov.io, Salesloft, Lusha, or equivalents
- Strong written English. Persuasive, specific, and short
- Ability to run campaigns off data and KPIs rather than instinct alone
- You want ownership rather than a title, and you are comfortable being measured on revenue
- Awareness of US outreach rules — do-not-call obligations, state call-recording consent, and CAN-SPAM requirements on email
Helpful, not required
- Experience selling into international markets — UK, EU, or MENA alongside the US
- Working knowledge of the software development lifecycle and enough technical vocabulary to hold a conversation without bluffing
- Experience with dialer tooling — Aircall, JustCall, Kixie, Orum, or similar
- Use of AI tooling for research and personalization, where it improves the message rather than mass-producing it
- You have built sequences with A/B testing and automated follow-up and can talk through what you learned
First 90 days
- Fix the positioning: one clear answer to who we serve and what we are worth
- Get the proof in order — real case studies drawn from real delivered work
- Stand up a repeatable outbound motion across calls, email, and LinkedIn, and run it long enough to read the data honestly
- Close the first clients sourced through that motion
Equity and terms
Terms are open to discussion and depend on scope, commitment, and what you bring. We would rather agree something specific and written down with the right person than advertise a number that means little without context. Expect that conversation early rather than late.
You will have access to the outreach and CRM tooling you need — we are not going to ask you to prospect without tools — and direct working contact with the founders rather than a layer in between.
How to apply
Send your CV along with a short answer to this: describe a cold call or cold email that worked, and tell us why you think it worked. Specifics beat polish — we would rather read three honest sentences about one real conversation than a page of general claims.
If you have numbers from a previous role — connect rates, meetings booked per week, conversion to opportunity — include them. And tell us what you would change about how we present ourselves today; be blunt, we are asking honestly.
